REMOTEWORDS has applied to the roof of the University of São Paulo (Escola de Comunicacoes e Artes Universidade de Sao Paulo) a quotation from Vilém Flusser, who held his first professorship there.

PORQUE DUVIDO? (Why do I doubt?) is taken from Flussers book «Da Duvida» (On Doubt) that was written (1964) in Brazil in Portuguese and published in German in 2006 by
European Photography. The essay already contains several ideas and thoughts on his later
media theory that he developed, among other writings, in «Towards a Philosophy of Photography»
and «Ins Universum der technischen Bilder».

on roofs and, by means of virtual programs like Google Earth, gives them worldwide coverage.
The messages are mounted in durable form as giant letters. The site and the message are
